§ 10-201. Electronic recordkeeping required.

  • All retailers of products containing ephedrine, pseudoephedrine, and/or phenylpropanolamine shall utilize the electronic recordkeeping system known as Meth-Check for the recording and reporting of all identifying information required pursuant to any law, rule, or regulation involving the sale or distribution of such products, commencing no later than 30 days from the effective date of the ordinance from which this article derives. Said system and the necessary hardware for scanning the purchaser's driver's license or identification card shall be provided by or through the Putnam County Sheriff's Office at no expense to the retail outlet. The retail outlet shall be responsible for providing a computer capable of running the software and a connection to the internet for the transmission of the data.
