§ 18-50. Fees.

  • All hazardous waste generators located in the county shall pay an annual fee for assessment, notification and verification, per site, to the county board of county commissioners. The fee shall be designed to fund the local hazardous waste management assessments outlined in F.S. § 403.7225, the small quantity generator notification program outlined in F.S. § 403.7234 and the reporting requirements of F.S. § 403.7236. The initial fee shall be paid with the return of the survey form for this year. Beginning September 10, 2000, the fee shall be charged as a surcharge to the occupational license issued to the generator. All fees shall be established by resolution of the board of county commissioners. Actual generators identified as currently licensed and/or newly added to the assessment roll shall be charged a fee per site the first year that entity is added to the assessment role and every year thereafter through a surcharge on its occupational license.
