Article II. ANIMAL CONTROL |
Division 1. GENERALLY |
§ 6-40. Enforcement.
If a violation of this ordinance is observed by an animal control officer, or a complaint is filed from a third party and investigated and found to be factual, the department head may take one or more of the following actions:
(1)
Issue a warning to the owner or keeper of the animal, provided the warning:
a.
Sets forth the date and time of issuance; and
b.
The name and address of the person warned; and
c.
The nature of the offense, and
d.
The description of the animal involved; or
(2)
Proceed under section 11.06 of the Putnam County Land Development Code regarding notifications and hearings before the special magistrate; or
(3)
Impound the animal that is subject to the violation; or
(4)
Any other enforcement procedure authorized by law.
